Easy Wild Berries With Cardamom Crumble

This easy berry crumble, with perfectly cooked berries topped with a buttery oat crumble, is out of this world delicious. It’s also easy to make and ready in 45 minutes.

The berry crumble is optionally served with ice cream.

Ingredients

Berries
  • 500 g frozen blueberries
  • 250 g frozen raspberries
  • 250 g frozen blackberries
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp potato starch
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
Crumble
  • 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cups oats
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 115 g plant-based butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cardamom

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees celsius.
  • Add the blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, lemon juice, potato starch and sugar to a pie dish. Toss well until combined.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the flour, oats, sugar, cardamom and salt. Add the plant butter, then stir until the butter is evenly spread in the flour/oat mixture and has turned crumbly. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the berry filling.
  • Bake until the berry juice thickens, and the topping turns light golden brown, about 25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes, before optionally serving with ice cream.
