Double Chocolate Chip Muffins
These moist chocolate chip muffins are a chocolate lover's dream. They are incredibly rich, chocolaty and filled with creamy chunks of chocolate, perfect for all occations that calls for something sweet. Recipe makes about 16 muffins.

Batter
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cups cacao
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 cups plant-based milk
- 130 g plant-based butter
- 1 tbsp appel cider vinegar
- 200 g plant-based dark chocolate, roughly chopped or buttons
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius.
- In a medium bowl mix together all dry ingredients (flour, cacao, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla sugar and salt) Set a side.
- In a sauce pan, add plant butter and leave to melt on low heat. Once melted add plant milk and apple cider vinegar.
- Add the liquids to the bowl with dry ingredients and mix until combined and all lumps are gone. The batter should be quite thick.
- Add in 3/4 of the plant dark chocolate to the batter and mix to combine, leave the rest to top with.
- Evenly divide the batter into muffin tins, before baking in the middle of the oven for 18-20 minutes. Preferably bake the muffins using a muffin tray, as this helps the muffins to keep their height.
