Ingredients

Crackers
  • 1/2 cups ground flaxseed
  • 4 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 cups hemp seeds
  • 1/4 cups sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cups pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cups sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cups oats
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups water

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 160 degrees celsius and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine all your seeds, oats, and spices (ground flaxseed, chia, hemp, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, oats, oregano, garlic and salt). Stir to mix evenly.
  • Pour water over the mixture and stir until everything is covered. Let the mixture soak for about 10 minutes to absorb the water and bind together.
  • When the seeds have soaked up all the water, scoop the seed mixture onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Spread the mixture to a layer that is as thin as possible. Ensure there are no holes in the crackers. The thinner you are able to spread the mixture, the crunchier the crackers will be.
  • Bake for 50 minutes. After 25 minutes, cut the crackers into even squares, using a pizza cutter is preferred. If you forget to cut them, you can snap the crackers into more rustic shapes once they are cool.
  • Remove from the oven when lightly browned, firm, and the crackers are dry to the touch. Allow to cool completely on the pan before separating into individual crackers.
