COOKING TIME:
Ingredients
Crackers
- 1/2 cups ground flaxseed
- 4 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/4 cups hemp seeds
- 1/4 cups sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cups pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 cups sesame seeds
- 1/2 cups oats
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 160 degrees celsius and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine all your seeds, oats, and spices (ground flaxseed, chia, hemp, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, oats, oregano, garlic and salt). Stir to mix evenly.
- Pour water over the mixture and stir until everything is covered. Let the mixture soak for about 10 minutes to absorb the water and bind together.
- When the seeds have soaked up all the water, scoop the seed mixture onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Spread the mixture to a layer that is as thin as possible. Ensure there are no holes in the crackers. The thinner you are able to spread the mixture, the crunchier the crackers will be.
- Bake for 50 minutes. After 25 minutes, cut the crackers into even squares, using a pizza cutter is preferred. If you forget to cut them, you can snap the crackers into more rustic shapes once they are cool.
- Remove from the oven when lightly browned, firm, and the crackers are dry to the touch. Allow to cool completely on the pan before separating into individual crackers.
