TIKKA CHICKPEA SLIDERS
Sliders can never go wrong, try this tikka chickpea version for a fun twist. Anyone’s gonna love these.
Note:
Mix together the tikka chickpeas the day before use and leave to marinate in the fridge overnight for a deeper flavour.

Ingredients
Tikka Chickpeas
- 460 g chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 3 tbsp tikka masala
- 1/4 cups plant-based yoghurt
- salt to taste
- 3 tbsp plant-based butter
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
Other
- 6 soft buns
- 200 g plant-based mozzarella
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- Start with combining chickpeas, garlic, ginger, garam masala, tikka masala, plant yogurt and salt in a medium size bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Heat a skillet with plant butter to medium heat and let the butter melt. Once the butter has melted add red onion and let cook until the onion is fragrant. Add the tikka chickpea mix and cook until the color deepens, about 5 minutes.
- On a baking sheet, add the bottom half of the buns. Fill with tikka chickpeas and plant mozzarella before adding the top bun.
- Bake in the middle of the oven until the cheese has melted, about 15 minutes. Leave to cool slightly before serving.
